As a long standing technical member of the Open Geospatial Consortium Inc. (OGC), Cadcorp is a leading contributor in ensuring that GIS software is 'open' in terms of design, interoperability and data processing.

The entire Cadcorp SIS software suite is certified OGC compliant for 'Simple Features,' 'Grid Coverages' and 'Coordinate Transformation Services'. Cadcorp GeognoSIS.NET is certified OGC compliant for 'Web Map Service' (WMS) and 'Web Feature Service' (WFS). Cadcorp SIS also implements support for 'Web Map Context Documents', 'Geography Markup Language' (GML), SQL 92 databases, 'Web Coverage Service' (WCS) and 'Catalogue Services for the Web' (CS-W).

Cadcorp is currently one of the only vendors in the world with such a comprehensive level of OGC compliance certification. Cadcorp technical director Martin Daly is an OGC Gardels Medal holder for his contribution to the OGC, and was one of the original members of the OGC Architecture Board.
