Commonwealth of Kentucky

As part of the Governor’s Office for Technology, the Office of Geographic Information (OGI) is responsible for encouraging, coordinating, and implementing GIS programs within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. OGI works with both state and local government, and serves as a liaison to federal mapping agencies. Activities include strategic planning, project management, technical and administrative support, dissemination of spatial data, education and training, research, and policy development. OGI also provides staffing and technical assistance for Kentucky’s Geographic Information Advisory Council (GIAC).
