The CompassCom tracking solution enables first responders and other public safety organizations to pinpoint the locations of multiple vehicles and mobile assets in real-time using the latest GIS mapping, AVL server and telecommunications technologies. Implemented by E911 dispatch centers across the country, CompassCom technology was field tested by U.S. intelligence agencies as a viable Homeland Security solution at the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
As a provider of mapping services, CompassCom has created and updated digital GIS maps used by counties and municipalities to enhance their E911 systems to satisfy E911 Phase II requirements. Geocoded maps supplied by CompassCom – often integrated with CompassCom tracking components – enable dispatchers and public safety personnel to respond more quickly to emergency situations.
