These programs are fast, easy-to-use translators for USGS Digital Line Graphs to MapInfo Interchange File format and ESRI shape file format, respectively. The programs can process numerous DLGs in a single run. The programs support both Optional Format and SDTS Format DLGs. In the fourth quarter of 2001, GIS Tools will release new versions of their DLG translators that will incorporate automatic unzipping of gzip archives and automatic un-tarring. The DLG translators extract all attributes associated with a DLG.
