Overview
The US Census Bureau has released state files for summary file 1 (SF1) from Census 2000. Unfortunately, extracting tables for particular summary levels, such as tracts, counties, places, or congressional districts can be a slow, laborious task. SF1toTable was designed to make this a fast and simple process. Users simply specify the summary levels they wish to extract, the tables they wish to create, and the desired output format. The programs then create the desired tables quickly and easily. Each table contains fields that facilitate joins between the SF1 tables and TIGER polygons. The Professional version can process multiple states in a single run. As with all GIS Tools products, the SF1toTable programs feature automatic unzipping of files and a simple point-and-click interface.
