Overview

INFO is a complete RAD/RDBMS supporting various host file systems such as sequential, fixed length, ISAM and gateways to SQL databases (Oracle, Ingres, Sybase, etc). INFO includes rich browse features for all file types and allows import/export of data in many file and spreadsheet formats.

INFO offers a powerful non-procedural application language of its own, yet when combined with other applications and databases, INFO really shows its strength for data manipulation and analysis. INFO is an excellent tool for isolating data sets to provide immediate response for management decisions. It can, for example, merge data from a COBOL ISAM system to an SQL RDBMS and produce reports, new datafiles or tables, or data in spreadsheet format. The possibilities are endless.

INFO provides a friendly interactive command environment for data definition, protection, data entry and update. It offers full screen formatting, data validation, ad hoc query and report writing capabilities. With the full programming language users can combine simple INFO procedures or develop complex menu driven applications.
