Election Data Services Inc. is a Washington, D.C.-based political consulting firm specializing in redistricting, election administration, and the analysis and presentation of census and political data. Founded in 1977, Election Data Services provides software, databases, and consulting services to state and local governmental organizations, and has developed a variety of political information products, including district boundary and election data and ZIP+DISTRICT files, for businesses and trade and professional associations. Each January, Election Data Services conducts a reapportionment study highlighting would be gainers and losers among the states in the U.S. House of Representatives based on newly released census population projections. And after each November general election, Election Data Services publishes a popular poster thematically displaying the results of presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and legislative elections. The founder and president of Election Data Services Inc., Kimball Brace, is a nationally recognized expert on redistricting and the census, and has consulted on the design and development of voting systems and voter registration systems.
