Overview
GeoMedia is a desktop GIS system that takes an altogether
different approach to data integration and spatial analysis. GeoMedia
provides direct access to data in many formats without translation such as
Arc/Info, ArcView Shape files, MapInfo, Microsoft Access, Oracle, AutoCAD,
MicroStation, MGE and more. Multiple databases can be accessed
simultaneously. Typical analyses include simple database query, buffer zone
creation, thematic mapping tools, geocoding, feature definition, placement,
and editing. Plus there are functions to integrate imagery and multimedia
files as well as create a layout of your map views for plotting. GeoMedia is
completely customizable with development tools such as Visual Basic or
Visual C++. The product runs under Windows NT or Windows 95 / 98, and
includes on-line help and tutorials.
