Overview

Geoconference® is a live geospatial meeting system that operates using the Internet, and facilitates connections to standard GIS and mapping systems. The technology allows many users to view map data simultaneously from many remote locations. Users can access and participate in Internet mapping conference sessions using the GeoConference client. The component is thin, easy to deploy, and may be freely distributed. Highlights of the system include instant feedback to colleagues anywhere in the world, reduction in travel costs and leveraging of teamwork, easy set up and implementation, and the reduction of replication of geospatial data. The system is complimentary to other Geomatics technology investments.
