SAS, a leader in business analytics software, has teamed with ESRI. The two companies are leveraging a services oriented architecture (SOA) to integrate their solution platforms, ArcGIS and SAS 9.
According to the information from the two companies, ArcGIS Server make available all of ESRI's GIS and mapping technology to users of SAS BI and SAS BI Enterprise Servers. Using the SAS Bridge for ESRI, it is possible for SAS users to link numeric, spatial, and textural data through a single interface.
