SoftTech presents "SEPL ESR-GSR" India’s only water tank designing Software . ESR-GSR is a Windows based water tank designing software, which provides an integrated modelling, analysis, design, drafting & estimation environment. It provides design of Water Towers & Ground Service Reservoirs of various shapes. Advanced Finite Element Analysis, Continuity Analysis and the completely automated Seismic and Wind load generation are some of the highlighting features of this software.

GROUND SERVICE RESERVOIRS
• The various types of Ground Service reservoirs (GSR) that can be designed are : Cylindrical & Rectangular. • For Rectangular GSR one can either go for : Slab-Beam arrangement or Flat Slab arrangement. • For Cylindrical GSR one can go for either of the combinations: Top Dome, Top Circular Slab, Top dome and slab beam with Top Flat Slab. • The soil on which the Tank will be supported can be defined in various layers with various depth. • Once the user puts the required volume for the tank, the software automatically suggests a dimension for the tank. We can also specify the Haunch dimension and the interior plaster for the software to consider while calculating the volume .If there are interior columns then are also accounted for while calculating the volume of the Tank. • The Design can be done in Working Stress method as well as Limit State method. • The most suitable top support and the bottom support condition of the wall can be selected by the designer from many options. • If the Tank happens to be a rectangular Tank then the walls can be analysed as Cantilever or Propped or by considering it to be Hinged at top and bottom. • The walls can be supported by counterfort outside or inside the tank. • Various types of footings available for the above reservoirs. • Tanks are also designed for uplift forces.

ELEVATED SERVICE RESERVOIR
• Rectangular, Cylindrical, Conical and Intz types of Elevated service reservoirs(ESR) can be designed. • The top and bottom of the container could be from the combination of Dome, Circular or Rectangular Slab-beam system or flat slabs. • Supporting structure could be shaft or column braced trestle with multiple staging levels. • The column sections can either be rectangular or circular. • Staircase can be located either inside or out side of supporting system. • Foundation systems supported are: Isolated type, Pile Foundation, Annular raft and Solid raft. • Effect of Hydrodynamic forces taken into consideration. • The components of the structures could be designed by using Working Stress method or Limit State Method.

ANALYSIS
• 3-Dimensional static and dynamic analysis of staging using Finite Element method. • Automatic frame generation from the data given in interactive dialogs. • Response spectrum method for seismic analysis is adopted. • Automatic computation of earth quake load and wind loads.

DESIGN
• The design is highly interactive and designer can overwrite any results produced by the system. • The design strictly conforms to relevant design codes of IS: 3370, IS:456, IS:1893, IS:875 • Design can be produced for worst Load combination or one specific load combination selected by the user.

ANALYSIS
• The reports generated by this software are : • Analysis reports for any load case or Load combination • Detail Report with step by step calculations are generated for : Input Data. Project Information. Capacity calculation. Detail Design reports of all the tank components Roof, Container Walls, Domes, slabs, beams at various stagings, columns and Footings. • An abstract report for the various items of the Tank ,the corresponding quantity, its rate and the total cost. • Wind Load computation report • Seismic load computation and analysis results report

DRAFTING & ESTIMATION
Automatic generation of final design sheets is one of the most powerful features of SEPL-ESR/GSR. The design sketches are detailed to a very high precision. The drawings are exported to AutoCADฎ - R14 and AutoCADฎ-2000 in the layered form & can be edited for fine tuning the requirements. The complete quantity estimation of water tower components & GSR is produced.
