Overview

QE-PRO is a highly interactive and sophisticated MS WINDOWS based software for cost Estimation of civil engineering structures, preparation of Tender documents and Bills .It is designed to adopt different District Schedule of Rates (DSR) published and provided by competent authorities for the execution and monitoring of Civil works. QE-PRO also offers a user-friendly interface to carry out detailed rate analysis of items of DSR. Different modules of QE-PRO are coupled together & work under integrated environment so that the user doesn't have to repeat the data input anywhere. Interface with MS Project® is provided to import or export QE-PRO data files for scheduling & monitoring.

SALIENT FEATURES
• Supports any number of SOR and its items being classified as works , work head and SOR items . • Users can add Specification documents to items • The User can maintain a detail library of resources, units, suppliers, overhead charges and activities. • The user can perform Detail rate analysis of the SOR items . While performing the detail rate analysis, the user can use an already analysed item as a resource . • TECS can prepare three type of tenders viz. Item-rate, percentage above/below and lumpsum. • It can prepare Tender comparison statement and sensitivity analysis of bidders to scrutinise unbalanced tenders. • It also supports the scheduling and monitoring of a project integrated with M S Project® • It also can provide all relevant reports. • Creation of SOR • TECS can support any number of SOR .The user can create his own SOR. A few standard SOR is also provided with the software. • The SOR in TECS is classified into Works , Work heads and Items . • The items in the SOR can have short as well as detailed description. • Lead Constants & Load Factors can be maintained for each SOR. • Users can attach their specification documents to the items defining them. • SORs can be updated in terms of new rates and descriptions.

MASTER
• A detail library of resources, units, suppliers, overhead charges, activities can be maintained. • Library of resources can be maintained in terms of resource groups viz Material resource, Labour resource, Machinery resource etc. • Library of activities can be maintained for estimates that have to be prepared on 'Activity-wise' basis. • User can store his entire steel table with various steel sections & their weights, which are useful while using newly introduced MBs.

RATE ANALYSIS
• Rate Analysis module can perform detail rate analysis of the SOR items. • While performing the detail rate analysis user can access the resources from the masters, complete with the rate of the particular resource. • Resources can be accounted as individual, lumpsum or as a percentage of the cost of the resources. • Facility to include another item into the rate analysis of a particular item as a resource is provided. • After adding the resources we can also add overhead charges, profit percentage etc. for the item whose rate analysis is being done. • Break-up of costs of the resources that make the item can be viewed with the help of a pie chart.

ESTIMATION
• In TECS the user can define the activities of the project and then these activities have to be connected to the items of the selected SOR. These activities will also have to be connected to the measurement sheet which will give the quantity. • The rate can either be taken from the SOR or from the detail rate analysis • The Lead tables provided by the SOR are used for computation of the lead charges. • Special quantity calculation masters are also provided to help to calculate the quantities and send the calculated quantities directly to the respective item.
