TatukGIS Editor

Overview

The TatukGIS Editor provides an extensive a set of features for creating and editing GIS vector map files or projects. The Editor opens most GIS/CAD vector and raster image file types, most ArcView®, ArcExplorer®, and MapInfo Professional® projects, and ArcGIS projects exported with the free Arc2TatukGIS plug-in. The Editor can save vector map layers to a number of industry standard file types, including SQL database layers. All file formats are supported “natively”, with no need to convert to/from any internal format.

The Editor is intuitive and easy to learn from the integrated tutorials and help files which are accessible under the program’s Help menu. Sixteen user interface language options are supported. A free trial version is available.

Editing features

  • Create or edit shapefile geometry and attributes and save to a choice of formats: SHP, MID/MIF, DXF, GML, KML, DLG, GPX, CSV, and SQL database layer formats: Oracle Spatial/Locator, ESRI Personal Geodatabase, Geomedia SQL Server & Access Warehouse, OpenGIS Simple Features Implementation, TatukGIS binary
  • Edit ArcSDE attributes, export from ArcSDE to other data formats
  • Convert shapefile layers between supported file formats
  • Create/edit new vector shapes by mouse clicking or by entering x,y coordinate
  • Import x,y coordinates to create a new shape or shapefile layer
  • Snap to the locations of already existing vertices when digitizing vectors
  • Export/import attribute tables to/from a spreadsheet or database
  • Create/edit new vector shapes by entering distance/bearing information
