Caliper Corporation offers a family of mapping, spatial analysis, and transportation GIS software products that are valuable for homeland security applications. Maptitude and TransCAD will help your community be ready, and will contribute to all phases of response: detection, preparedness, prevention, protection, and response and recovery. They make it easy to integrate data from multiple sources by handling a wide variety of data formats, including ESRI Shapefiles, MapInfo TAB files, Oracle Spatial tables, and GeoTIFF, MrSID and ECW images. They have powerful tools for locating at-risk facilities and populations, designing response zones, working with airphotos and satellite imagery, and much more. TransCAD has specific tools for planning and simulating evacuation behavior. Maptitude for the Web and TransCAD for the Web then make it easy to design and publish interactive mapping applications on your web site, to make your maps and geographic analysis available to your clients or the public.
