Our editors put on their critic hats and look at two efforts to use location-based services to generate action and buzz. One campaign focused on the professional geospatial community, those building location-based apps, and the other aimed to drum up excitement for the last-place NBA basketball team, the New Jersey Nets, and perhaps a few other organizations. Did these efforts achieve their goals? What might they have done differently?
