Thank you for the opportunity to respond to David Sonnen's editorial, "OGC: Near the Tipping Point," published in the November 6th issue.
Autodesk, Inc., is fully supportive of OGC and its interoperability efforts.OGC plays an important role in the geospatial community and the development of Autodesk solutions. Our customers recognize the importance of OGC standards and are demanding them.
Members who have issues should bring them to the attention of OGC. While Mr.Sonnen's article indicates that there is growing member disillusionment, it is interesting to note that membership has been increasing rather than decreasing.
