Twitter comments reveal that Esri partners have learned of Geofeedia, a tool originally aimed at journalists that spatially searches keywords and hashtags on posts to social media networks. Directions Magazine looked at Geofeedia last May when it was in beta. Now the company aims the tool at public safety and brands, as well. The company in now an Esri Business Partner.
Back in May the tool was built on Bing Maps and it seems to still use that base. Twitter users suggest the company may be on board to use Esri's big data tools. I wonder if the company might also be interested in Geoloqi's geofencing tools.
