Microsoft India today said it is introducing Guardian, a new safety application (app), available exclusively for Windows phone users in India. ...

Explaining its features, Biyani said Guardian enables users to switch on a 'track me' feature in the app that lets friends and family track them in real time using Microsoft Windows Azure cloud services and Bing Map APIs.

It allows selected contacts to track the user and recieve emergency alerts from him or her. Sad they are limiting to Windows phones. No further information or a link in Microsoft India pressroom.

This year at CES organizers will introduce iBeacon technology to attendees.

The producers of the annual technology expo will run the promotional event to encourage attendees to roam around the venue instead of just being glued to the booths of well-known brands.

Attendees will download a free app and collect badges. The first three individuals to collect all the badges will win prizes. Yay?

An update to Zombies Run, a smartphone app meant to help motivate runners, includes local maps.
You’ll also now get a local map so you can see where you’ve gone and where you are, which is handy if you’re actually tracking your routes.
I do not have a single running friend who has used this.
