GeOnG 2012

Description

The objective of this third edition is to gather around the issues of mapping and geographic information, in order for them to meet, share their experiences and identify together future challenges, but also to create partnerships.
GeOnG 2012’s theme is “From the cloud to the field” and will in
· Plenaries on cloud applications (possibilities and challenges) and data sources (providers, business model, quality);
· Roundtables on GIS environmental GIS, the use of geographic information for communication (visualization), emergency with bad connectivity…
· Hand-on workshops balloons), coordination and training methods on the field, mobile data collection tools, web mapping solutions…

GeOnG is one of the few events exclusively dedicated to the use of new technologies for humanitarian action will gather this year up to 100. We will host professionals from internationals organizations sector (ESRI, Google France).
