Contour Gridder is an Arcview extension (Spatial Analyst) that allows you to interpolate a surface from contour lines. Most interpolation algorithms are developed for point interpolation and produce bad results when working with contour lines. Contour gridder on the other hand produces a linear interpolation between any 2 neighboring contour lines. An extrapolation algorithm is added to extrapolate on hilltops, in valleys or beyond the contour lines extent. The script has been adapted to work with break lines as well. As far as I know, the method is new. This is the first version of the script, so please report any errors or unexpected results. This script is an evaluation version that allows you to interpolate smaller grids. The FULL version is FREE, if you mail some feedback at: Jan.Stuckens@skynet.be For more information visit my web site: http://users.skynet.be/contourgridder Thanks to Ianko Tchoukanski for testing and recommandations Jan Stuckens
