Functions of AveiN! The ArcView GIS©-extension functions as interface between ArcView GIS© and the UMN MapServer. The extension genera tes the required files, which are necessary to put your ArcView-map as a MapServer application into the intra-/internet. The required software MapServer and a webserver - we advise the Apache WebServer - are free of any license costs! All system-configurations have been sim-plified, so that no previous knowledge is required any more.
