Debugging Mapbasic .NET apps in Visual Studio

This article will show you how to attach MapInfo Pro to the running debugger instance of Visual Studio so that you can step through any of the code that your Mapbasic app calls. The main reason I wrote this was because attaching a program to the debugger is easy in the full Visual Studio but not as easy in the Express versions which most people would be using, so I decided to write this to help people who are using the express versions along.
