I am a student in a Master’s program in Geography at San Jose State University and am the only one in my program interested in Business Applications for GIS. It is very hard to get information about career options as this area is not the main focus of my professors or fellow students.

I was glad to see in the January 7, 2005 Careers Newsletter that the Profiles feature of the Career Center includes people working in Business GIS. I know I’ll be checking it frequently and maybe even contacting some of the participants to request an informational interview.
