The Online GIS Certificate Program at Elmhurst College prepares students from many disciplines, including career changers, for occupations in the geospatial technologies field. Specifically designed for professionals, the program is offered entirely online and includes the unique aspects of required programming courses in Python and web mapping applications as well as a practical capstone experience. Students learn from dedicated geospatial professionals helping students earn their certificate in less than one year from start to completion. Elmhurst College is one of a handful of colleges with a dedicated GIS server that enables a hands-on learning experience in a remote desktop setting.
