| Thanks for your podcast. I have been in GIS for many years. I have attended the ESRI UC since about 1997. With the downturn in the economy I was not able to go this year, and I had to change jobs too... now working for a company where they use software from the ‘darkside’. Even if i was at the same job none of us would be able to go either given the economy. At any rate it was great to listen to your podcast... i actually missed the UC... call me a geek i guess... i missed the trip to the airport... i missed the cab ride into San Diego Marriott... but most of all i missed the Monday morning session. Since about 1997/99 every year the Monday morning sessions were always full of new announcements. I enjoyed this so much... this set the stage for excitement throughout the week. We need to be planning for 3d gis. At my present job the data we have will fit perfectly to a 3d gis data model. CityGML lod3. These are things we need to model, visualize, and study. Much more than just graphics. |
