At the Esri Senior Executive Seminar in San Diego, Directions Magazine's editor in chief Joe Francica spoke with Adel Ebeid, the Chief Information Officer of the City of Philadelphia. Ebeid gave one of the more inspiring presentations as he discussed several innovations that the city is implementing under the guidance of Mayor Michael Nutter. A New Jersey native, Ebeid was the former CIO and CTO for the State of New Jeresey having worked for Governors Christy, Floria, McGreevey, Whitman and Corzine. He sees that GIS and an open data policy will fuse together and advance civic innovation leading cities and citizens to organize and advance. I hope you enjoy the interview.
