GIS EXPO Brings Utah GIS Professionals Together

Redlands, California-GIS professionals from Utah, ESRI business partners, and ESRI-Denver staff will convene at the GIS EXPO in Salt Lake City, Utah, December 9, 2004.The event will showcase how geographic information system (GIS) technology is used to help Utah businesses and government agencies do their work more efficiently.The GIS EXPO is open to the public and free of charge, however pre-registration is recommended. The EXPO will feature presentations that focus on the latest products in ESRI's ArcGIS family of software.Demonstrations and presentations will display the new GIS analysis and modeling capabilities of ArcGIS 9, how to use the newly released ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension within the ArcGIS suite of desktop products, and numerous other features of the new release. Attendees will also learn more about how Utah users are putting GIS applications to work in their communities as well as specialized applications and services available through ESRI business partners.Matt Peters from the Utah Automated Geographic Reference Center (AGRC) will discuss the projects, challenges, and successes experienced by the staff at AGRC in 2004.
