ASP Service Offers Full Enterprise GIS Functionality at a Fraction of the Cost

Westminster, CO - April 18, 2005 - The Yampa Valley Electric Association has begun a subscription to iNetSpatial, the on-demand geospatial application offered by Hitachi Software Global Technology.

Offered on the application service provider (ASP) business model, iNetSpatial will allow the Yampa Valley Electric Association (YVEA) to implement full-scale enterprise GIS functionality for a low annual subscription fee.Instead of purchasing expensive software, hardware, and service contracts, YVEA will use a high-speed Internet connection to access the same dynamic functionality available in commercially available enterprise GIS packages.

By using the iNetSpatial CAD and Web clients to retrieve their hosted data and data model, YVEA will reduce its enterprise GIS costs by:

• Shortening set-up time
• Lowering the upfront capital investment
• Outsourcing costly day-to-day technical management
• Eliminating the need for customized IT infrastructure
