Vexcel Appoints Gary R.Salisbury as Vice President of Radar Technologies & Services

BOULDER,CO--Vexcel Corporation announced today that Gary Salisbury, former Deputy Director of Weather and Environment Advanced Systems at Ball Aerospace, has joined Vexcel as Vice President of Radar Technologies & Services.

Gary's extensive remote sensing experience-including advanced spaceborne, airborne and ground sensor technologies, program management, business management, and business development of microwave products and systems-is well matched to Vexcel's current radar business and planned expansion into airborne and ground microwave sensors.

"Gary Salsibury's appointment to this position accentuates Vexcel's commitment to further expand our current radar technologies and services to meet the needs of our customer base," said John Curlander, PhD, President and CEO of Vexcel."Among his responsibilities, Gary will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the four Radar Technologies & Services business areas and for expansion of Vexcel's microwave airborne and ground sensor product development."

Salisbury held many key positions at Ball Aerospace during his career including: Program Manager for the Shuttle Imaging Radar-C Antenna and Electronics program, Business Area Manager for Antennas and Programs that included several space based antennas including the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission Outboard Antenna, Director of Antenna Programs, Deputy Director for Earth Science Advance Programs and most recently Deputy Director of Advanced Systems for Weather and Environment.His background in microwave products and sensors, program management and proven leadership will provide the direction necessary to ensure that Vexcel is poised to meet future demands for this market.
