Parker, CO and Coppell, TX (August 24, 2006) — Furthering its strategy of delivering innovative solutions in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) industry, Nirav Shah, president of EI Technologies, LLC, today announced that EI Technologies, LLC has acquired certain assets of Applied Technological Services, Inc. (ATS), a Texas-based GIS consulting firm effective August 1, 2006.

The acquisition gives EI Technologies, LLC, a greater presence in the Southwest where it has been doing business for more than a decade.  “ATS brings a record of successful GIS implementations to our GIS consulting business and strengthens our position in the marketplace”, Shah said.  He added, “We are committed to providing the highest level of professional services to our customers. This acquisition allows EI Technologies to provide more regionally-based technical support and services to our valued customers in the Southwest.”

The acquisition of ATS’ assets represents an on-going effort by EI Technologies’ management to pursue new markets.  “Acquiring regional customer-centric companies is an excellent way for us to grow and better serve our customers”, said Shah. 

ATS, Inc. of Coppell, TX, provided data conversion, needs assessments, customized applications development, and Web mapping services mainly to local and federal government agencies, as the private sector.  The company provided professional GIS services mainly in Texas, Hawaii, and other southwestern states.  Its clients included the Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport, the City of Killeen, TX, and the US Army Garrison, Hawaii. 

ATS had a staff of GIS consultants who are certified in Oracle, Microsoft, and GIS technologies. The company was a business partner with ESRI, Intergraph, and Microsoft.  ATS was also on a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 899. 

EI Technologies, LLC has created a wholly-owned subsidiary, Applied Geospatial Technology Solutions, LLC (AGTS), to be the southwestern business unit of the company.  Bruce Martin, president of ATS will assume the position of Regional Vice President for AGTS.
