David Andrews joins Cadcorp as account manager for Northern England, Scotland and Ireland.


Stevenage, Herts. 3 May, 2007. – Digital mapping and geographic information systems (GIS) software developer Cadcorp has announced the appointment of David Andrews as account manager for Northern England, Scotland and Ireland.

A member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and with a masters degree in GIS from the University of Edinburgh, Andrews has spent most of his career to date with Ordnance Survey where he started as a surveyor. He later worked in research and development on digital mapping applications and then in marketing before becoming Ordnance Survey’s chief surveyor for Northern Scotland. He then went on to establish his own mapping consultancy before becoming a project manager on countryside access and green-space projects for Highland Council, and later worked with an environmental consulting firm before joining Cadcorp in April this year.

Based near Edinburgh, Andrews is responsible for looking after the interests and requirements of Cadcorp customers and prospects in the public sector, liaising with them on matters relating to the sale and application of Cadcorp software and services.
