Avineon Recognized as a Washington SmartCEO ’Future 50’ Company for Third Year in a Row

Avineon has grown at more than a 30 percent rate over the past six years and now employs more than 1,000 worldwide. This is the company's third consecutive appearance on the list of Future 50 winners.

The Future 50 program honors the 50 fastest growing companies in the Washington, D.C. metro area. In total, this year's winners employ 23,000 and have generated more than $6 billion in total revenue. Winners were honored at a black-tie dinner event January 29, 2009 in Bethesda, Md.

Founded in 1992, Avineon has added a customer base of more than 250 clients among the federal government, state and local governments, and commercial sector. In 2008, Avineon won major contracts with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Education, as well as extended contracts with the United States Navy, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of the Treasury, among others. On an international scale, Avineon maintains subsidiaries in India, the United Kingdom, and France and has plans to establish a subsidiary in Canada.
