Company: Information Builders
Information Builders, independent leader in operational business intelligence (BI) systems and VLC, a BI consultancy firm that specializes in WebFOCUS software, announced today the launch of the Champions League Dashboard. Through an interactive dashboard and automated reports, Information Builders will provide web visitors with the quirky statistics of Champions League finals from Feb 24th to the final game in Rome on May 27th. Based on Information Builders' Active Reports technology, Google Maps technology and powered by WebFOCUS, the Champions League Dashboard will showcase stats about games, information about players and the clubs. The statistics tracked include number of dives, number of wrong off-sides, number of fake injuries, and number of player tantrums at the referee, among others. "Football fanatics love statistics,” said David Small, VP International at Information Builders. "With the Championship League Dashboard, fans can analyse the data in an easy and interactive way. The dashboard is a brilliant way to track information about the Champions League games and to surprise family and friends with fun facts. In addition, it is also a nice introduction to the world of Business Intelligence.” "We are very pleased to be involved in the implementation of the Champions League dashboard”, says Mathijs Kreugel, Managing Director at VLC. "When discussing football with friends, one invariably asks: 'Did you see that dive?' or 'That guy is always faking injuries!' This Dashboard uses leading-edge technology to show how business intelligence technology can collate and display statistics.” Visitors can access the Champions League Dashboard at www.informationbuilders.co.uk/ontheball. Also available is a Predictions League, where visitors can predict the outcome of games and get a chance to win an Apple iPhone.
