Infotech Hires Senior Telecommunication Consultant

 Sterling, VA, June 2009 – Infotech is pleased to announce Mr. Alex Casteel has joined their telecommunications team as a Senior Telecommunication Consultant. Alex brings a total of 31 years experience with 27 years directly working for a major telecom company performing various planning, design, sales support, and consulting projects. As part of Infotech’s telecommunications strategy, Alex will assist with business development initiatives for Infotech’s clientele. Beginning his career as a Telecommunication Control Specialist, Alex has demonstrated success by progressing over the years from an Engineering Assistant, Project Engineer, and Exchange Planner to a District Engineering Supervisor and Regional CAD/E Manager. Alex has managed the conversion for hundreds of wire centers in several states on the east coast and has served on corporate committees providing upper management suggestions on software migration plans that involved integrating legacy systems into a unified corporate asset management system. His most recent experience involved Verizon’s record conversion and FIOS FTTP design along with developing a “Broadband Map” defining 3-5 year definitive plans for advanced broadband deployment for various rural telephone companies.
