DES PLAINES, IL --Varion Systems, the software development and value-added reseller division of GeoAnalytics, Inc, and Govern Software have been chosen by the DuPage County, Illinois Division of Transportation to manage its oversize/overweight, construction, utility, and special use permits as well as impact fees.As an additional component to the project, Varion Systems, in conjunction with the Transportation Division of GeoAnalytics, Inc.will provide a conceptual design for integrating Govern Software with the Division's GIS in order to leverage their investment in a GIS-based linear referencing system.

Benefits of this project include a 'One Stop Shop' for county permitting, movement away from disparate and difficult to maintain legacy systems, centralized cash collection and receipting for all county permits, improved accessibility of information for county staff and management as well as the public and complete integration of these business activities with the current deployment of Govern in the Department of Environmental Concerns and Department of Public Works.
