Earth Search Sciences, Inc.Completes Hyperspectral Collection for Naval Research Laboratory
February 10, 2003

Company: Earth Search Sciences Inc

KALISPELL,MT--Earth Search Sciences, Inc. (OTCBB:EDIS - News) Earth Search Sciences, Inc.(ESSI) announced that it has completed its hyperspectral data collection for the United States Navy's Naval Research Laboratory.

"These data collection flights were for the purpose of coast line evaluation. The data and techniques developed may be applied to littoral and homeland security issues on a larger scale," said Larry Vance, Chairman of ESSI.

Hyperspectral data can be used to detect changes in soil composition, vegetal stress, various chemicals, and monitor the health of coral reefs.Airborne HSI technology provides accurate base maps of littoral conditions and reef communities, and allows for change detection which includes identifying and monitoring disturbances caused by man. This kind of intelligence is becoming essential for security issues. The integration and layering of hyperspectral data analysis products over a digital 3-D visualization system can provide a very accurate assessment of any coastal or border areas quickly and accurately.

The Earth Search Sciences Probe-1 sensor gathers detailed data about solar energy absorption and reflectance from shoreline or shallow water environments. From that information, scientists can identify the mineral composition of areas of interest, certain chemicals that may be dispersed in the aquatic environment, or stressed and damaged vegetation in the littoral area.

This news release includes forward-looking statements that involve a number of risks and uncertainties. The information reflects numerous assumptions as to industry performance, general business and economic conditions, regulatory and legal requirements, taxes and other matters, many of which are beyond the control of the company.Similarly, this information assumes certain future business decisions that are subject to change. There can be no assurance that thee results predicted here will be realized.Actual results may vary from those represented and those variations may be material.
