ASIBA, GISbid.com partner to offer expanded services to membership communities

GIS organizations to facilitate worldwide access to public and commercial project information

Adelaide, South Australia - Today, the Australian Spatial Information Business Association (ASIBA) and GISbid.comTM, the leading online marketplace for worldwide dissemination of geospatial project information, announced that they are working together to allow ASIBA members greater access and more current information about GIS projects.

Under the terms of the agreement, ASIBA members will be allowed to post projects for free and take advantage of the ability to disseminate the project information to its worldwide membership base, which now exceeds 3000 members from over 40 countries.In this regard, members will be exposing their projects to a broader audience of potential bidders.In addition, if members wish only to divulge the information to a select group of bidders, GISbid.com will furnish the capability to form private "workgroups" which then allow bids to be published among a smaller group by invitation only. For ASIBA members who are consultants, service organizations, or private companies, each will receive a reduced membership fee to gain access to the more than twenty projects that are posted weekly on GISbid.com.
