Independent Study Shows Near Perfect Scores for Address Availability and Route Guidance Boston, MA, March 1, 2007 – Tele Atlas (FSE: TA6, EUNV: TA), a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location based solutions, today announced the results of an independent “Digital Map Accuracy Study” that provides an industry accuracy benchmark for digital map data. Conducted by an independent global marketing information firm, the study was designed to test the accuracy of personal navigation systems powered by Tele Atlas digital map data and related content by assessing the navigation systems’ ability to help users find random addresses and points of interest (POIs) and accurately route them to a destination. The results show that Tele Atlas maps establish a very credible benchmark for accuracy, with near perfect scores in the areas of address availability and route guidance, and the largest percentage of POIs found. "We believe the ‘Digital Map Accuracy Study’ results validate what is most fundamental about Tele Atlas maps: they are reliably accurate when consumers want to quickly find addresses or point of interests, and the best routes to them,” said Tele Atlas President and Chief Operating Officer George Fink. “We’re extremely proud to be the industry’s proven source of accurate map data, delivering the essential components of what consumers need as they navigate their world.”
