Atlanta, GA -- Numerex Corp.(Nasdaq: NMRX) today announced an agreement with Global Telematics, Inc.(GTI) of Irvine, CA, to provide wireless communications products and services for the deployment of GTI's GeoTracer(TM) location tracking and reporting device. GeoTracer(TM) makes it possible for individuals and commercial fleet managers to track and locate their vehicles remotely, at any time and from any location. GeoTracer(TM) is built around Numerex's telemetry radios and operates utilizing Global Positioning System (GPS) up-to-the-minute satellite tracking technology via Numerex's Cellemetry(R) network, the nation's most extensive cellular control channel data network. GTI has partnered with Advent Resources, Inc.to distribute the GeoTracer(TM) product to car dealerships throughout the United States, providing in-vehicle tracking services for car owners, as well as inventory management assistance, geo- fencing capabilities for test drives, remote door lock/unlock operation features and more. "We are pleased to be working with GTI in helping them bring new and innovative wireless communications products and telematics services to market," said Roland Rice, executive vice president of sales, Numerex Corp."This agreement further strengthens Numerex's position as an enabler of leading-edge telematics services, providing companies with everything they need from hardware devices to a scalable wireless data network with unmatched coverage." "We are very excited about our relationship with Numerex, whom we have chosen, based on their leadership track record in wireless data networks and machine-to-machine communications solutions," said Dr.Laurence Harper, CEO, Global Telematics, Inc.
