Sheboygan, Wisconsin, June 26, 2012 – AeroMetric has hired Todd Johnson as an airport solutions specialist. In this role he will be assisting consultants with their Airport GIS (AGIS) programs, coordinating with the FAA on project-specific issues, and advancing state-of-the art GIS applications for the aviation industry. Johnson brings 26 years of airport-related work experience to this position, including assisting the FAA with the development of their GIS program, and developing CADD/GIS software to meet the needs of airport environments. He has successfully managed the development of several high visibility FAA programs and system integration projects. In addition, he provided critical alpha/beta content and functionality testing for FAA Airports GIS system updates, lead the development of the FAA Integrated Distance Learning Environment (IDLE), and was both producer and narrator of the FAA Airports GIS Video Training Series.

Johnson’s technical white paper entitled, “A Guide to Airport Surveys” was published by the FAA and is utilized nationally by the consulting community involved with airport surveying.
