Joint Solution Adds Geo-Fencing to Industry-First Retail Navigation and Social Shopping Platform; Delivers Targeted Ads Based on User Location

aisle411, the premiere mobile retail navigation service that helps shoppers find what they are looking for and get rewarded for it, and Location Labs, the leading provider of mobile location-as-a-service, today announced that aisle411’s industry first retail navigation solution will integrate Geofencing, powered by the Location Labs’ Sparkle™ Platform to enable users to receive real-time alerts on available coupons and access to store navigation when approaching a store in the aisle411 system.

“Shoppers are always on the look out for new ways to utilize technology to make their shopping experience faster, easier and more convenient,” said Nathan Pettyjohn, CEO, aisle411. “By combining Location Labs’ innovative Geofencing technology with information including product location and relevant promotions, aisle411 provides an unprecedented shopping experience bridging online and in-store experiences, enabling brands to connect with their customers from the moment they approach a store.”

aisle411 empowers anyone with a mobile phone to find products and promotions quickly and easily in retail stores. With intuitive voice recognition technology powered by Nuance, aisle411 offers a unique in-store search and comprehensive mobile retail shopping solution. With the aisle411 App, users can instantly locate products in stores down to the specific section of the aisle, find product reviews, manage shopping lists, share experiences with friends via social media integration, then get reward points and mobile coupons for using the service. The new integrated solution with Location Labs will allow aisle411 users to opt-in to receive greeting messages, special store offers, coupons, product recommendations, and auto-routing of shoppers’ entire shopping lists on a map as they approach the store.

“aisle411’s groundbreaking shopping solution is transforming the way customers interact with retailers, advertisers and brands,” said Akash Agarwal, SVP Platform Products at Location Labs. “With the integration of Location Labs’ Geofencing technology, customers will now be able to leverage location to find stores and related deals.”

The aisle411 app is available for free from the iPhone App Store or from http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/aisle411/id394218369?mt=8 with Android and Blackberry Apps later this year. These platforms will also begin integrating with aisle411’s online web site at www.aisle411.com in 2011.
