New additions include Peter Esparrago, COO and Norwood Keel, VP of Products. In addition, Michael Yang will be joining as an advisory board member. Esparrago has over 25 years of global technology leadership experience in a wide variety of industries. He is a General Partner at Cultivation Capital, an early stage technology VC firm. Esparrago was CEO of IntraISP, a global BSS/OSS software-as-a-service company, in which he grew and sold twice (to Clearwire and Amdocs). He was President of two information security companies, Cigital and Mycroft. Esparrago was COO of Ariel Research, a global leader in EH&S content and software, where he helped grow and sell the company to 3E. Esparrago also spent 16 years at Accenture, where he was a Partner. Esparrago has an MBA in Finance from Rockhurst University, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Missouri.
Keel brings over 20 years¹ experience building hi-tech businesses, most recently at Microsoft, where he was director of Product and Partner Development for Microsoft Startup Business Group¹s mobile shopping platform. In 2009, he led the conception and development of Microsoft Bing¹s groundbreaking global imagery business. Before that, he served as VP of Business Development at Vexcel Corporation, a global leader in satellite remote sensing technologies, which was acquired by Microsoft in May 2006. He served as a Board Advisor for Bizgrout, a geo-focused software company. Keel has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, along with graduate course work in automatic control systems and remote sensing.
Yang is founder and board director of Become.com and has served as its president and CEO from 2004 to 2012, where he grew the company to $55 million in revenue. He was the founder & former CEO of mySimon.com, a pioneer in online price comparison shopping service. mySimon raised $30 million in venture capital and was acquired by CNET for $700 million in 2000. Prior to mySimon.com, Yang held positions at Xerox Corp., Intergraph Corporation, TeleVideo, Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., and Jazz Multimedia, Inc. Yang has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, MS degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
