ALK Technologies Announces McLeod Software Integration of PC*MILER 29

Provides LoadMaster and PowerBroker customers updated nationwide commercial routing, mileage and mapping

– ALK Technologies, a Trimble Company and global leader in GeoLogistics® solutions and navigation software, and McLeod Software, a leading provider of transportation management and trucking software solutions, today announced that ALK’s PC*MILER® 29 routing, mileage and mapping software has been successfully tested and approved for use with McLeod’s LoadMaster® and PowerBroker® products.

McLeod’s LoadMaster and PowerBroker products are industry leading software products for trucking dispatch operations management, freight brokerage management, fleet management, document imaging, workflow, EDI, and business process automation solutions for trucking, freight brokerage, third- party logistics, and shipper companies in the U.S.  With the latest version of PC*MILER, McLeod’s customer base now has access to the latest accurate truck-specific routing and mileage data, including updated toll roads and Points of Interest.  PC*MILER’s street-level routing, mapping, multi-version switch and hazmat routing modules have also been tested and approved.

PC*MILER 29 includes a HOS Manager, which factors mandatory Hours of Service (HOS) break times directly into the route plan, to significantly improve asset utilization with clear understanding of actual travel times and ETAs.  Also available in PC*MILER 29 is the ability to search for and display POIs directly along a route.  Dispatchers can easily select the most cost efficient fuel location with live diesel Pilot & Flying J fuel prices, updated every 30 minutes.  Another feature included is the ability to avoid ferries as well as roads above a specific elevation by selecting Ferry and Elevation Discouraged Routing to protect precious goods and avoid taking a route that could potentially damage a shipment.  Also available in PC*MILER 29 is a revamped Via Points Manager, updated hazardous roadway restrictions, data enhancements, and routing improvements throughout North America.
