Silver Springs, MD--ALTEK Corporation introduced a new generation of monochrome scanners, the ALSCAN II line, at the Virginia Association of Planning District Commissions.

The ALSCAN II is a complete PC desktop scanning system for documents up to 38" wide.This rugged, compact scanner has capabilities which include a resolution of 400 dpi with speeds of 1⁄2" per second, 1 inch per second at 200 dpi, and Adaptive Area Thresholding® for clear, sharp imaging.The interface provides a variety of editing functions such as cut, copy, paste, mirror and rotate, and the automatic deskew function squares the image without operator intervention.A straight optical path guarantees accurate scanned images.

ALSCAN II comes equipped with Windows software, documentation, SCSI interface board and cable.

ALSCAN II also has unique upgradability, giving the end user the option to add features such as higher resolutions and accessory software as needed.
