Applied Geographics Hires Brian Coolidge to be a Senior Project Manager

“Brian is returning to AppGeo, and we are delighted to have him back on our team,” said Rich Grady, AppGeo President. “He brings 20 years of GIS consulting experience applying the technology to benefit customers, large and small. His experience and knowledge of public safety and infrastructure projects will enhance AppGeo’s capacity to serve our customers in several important areas.”

Mr. Coolidge is an experienced Geographic Information Systems manager with nearly 20 years in the industry. His experience includes managing projects, staff, and resources, managing the development of mobile and field GIS solutions for the water/wastewater and environmental industry, as well as the development and implementation of databases. He has extensive knowledge in the use of GIS software, GPS software and hardware, SQL and Access databases, mobile field devices, and managing large field data collection programs. He also has an extensive background in risk management and public safety, where he has spent 24 years as a member of the Georgetown Fire Department, including 4 years as a Deputy Fire Chief, the training manager for the 90 member Bradford Ski Patrol, and as a course medical station leader for the Boston Marathon.

Mr. Coolidge previously worked for AppGeo as a GIS Analyst and most recently as a GIS Services Manager for AECOM. Since returning to AppGeo in 2016, Mr. Coolidge has contributed to the US Department of Transportation’s feasibility study of workflows, data rollup, data review, technology, and content standards for the National Address Database Pilot. Also, Mr. Coolidge is involved in the preparation and delivery of training on GIS applications for the Norwalk First Taxing District. Another project Mr. Coolidge is participating in is the broadband program for first responders, specifically for the Connecticut FirstNet.
