Ashis Pal, President of geographITŪ, Honored as Science Fair Judge

– On August 16, the North Museum of Natural History & Science presented Ashis Pal a framed “Exceptional Science Fair Judge” certificate in recognition and appreciation of his outstanding volunteer commitment serving as a judge for the annual North Museum Science & Engineering Fair. Mr. Pal first started volunteering as a judge of junior high school earth science projects in 1988 when the Lancaster Newspapers Inc. hosted the annual science fair. In recent years he has served as a judge for senior high school transportation, engineering, and environmental science projects. “I enjoy volunteering as a science fair judge”, said Mr. Pal. “The enthusiasm, imagination, and innovation of aspiring scientists and engineers are exciting to observe. And, interacting with talented young people who are full of ideas for how science and engineering can make the world a better place to live gives me hope for the future.”
