Sharing is Caring

Europa Technologies has today announced that the latest version of its acclaimed viaEuropa map service has been accepted into G-Cloud 7 – the latest iteration of the UK Government’s cloud computing framework. Operated by the Crown Commercial Service, G-Cloud enables public sector bodies to easily and cost-effectively procure services in a number of different cloud technology categories.

Since its launch in 2010, the viaEuropa service has been honed and developed to meet the increasing demands of public sector organisations. The service provides access to a multipurpose base map covering the whole of Great Britain compatible with a broad range of desktop mapping applications and web mapping APIs. It has been specifically designed to enable members of the PSMA (Public Sector Mapping Agreement) in England & Wales and members of the OSMA (One Scotland Mapping Agreement) in Scotland to get the most out of these agreements. The updated service offers various entry levels to suit all sizes of public sector bodies and their anticipated usage. New tiers have been added for higher traffic users thus giving even greater value for money.

Two versions of the service are available on G-Cloud 7 – viaEuropa Cloud (for Ordnance Survey mapping) and viaEuropa Bespoke (for other mapping such as flood and subsidence maps).

Warren Vick, Founder and Director of Europa Technologies commented, “We are delighted to have our renowned viaEuropa service accepted into the G-Cloud 7 programme. Europa Technologies continues to show its commitment to British public sector organisations, especially during a time where ‘more is expected for less’. viaEuropa is an essential enabler for organisations wishing to optimise their use of Ordnance Survey and third party data.”
