Blue Marble Geographics (bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting and delivering a presentation at the upcoming International LiDAR Mapping Forum (ILMF) in Denver, CO. This annual event, scheduled for February 13-15, 2017, brings together professionals in a variety of fields who share a common interest in the collection, processing, and visualization of remotely-sensed LiDAR data. Representatives from Blue Marble will be on hand at booth 24 in the exhibit hall to demonstrate the capabilities of version 18.1 of Global Mapper and the accompanying LiDAR Module.

Blue Marble's geospatial data manipulation, visualization, and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, energy, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as government agencies and academic institutions.

With a rapidly expanding worldwide customer base for both Global Mapper and for the LiDAR Module, ILMF provides the ideal venue for Blue Marble to engage with existing users and to introduce new customers to the software's point cloud management and analysis technology. Version 18.1 of the LiDAR Module, which will be released to coincide with the event, introduces an advanced LiDAR QA tool for comparing and adjusting point cloud elevations to match known elevations at control points and it offers the ability to visualize and filter LiDAR point clouds by density.

Blue Marble representatives will also be showcasing a pre-release version of the new Pointerra Global Mapper extension which will provide instant access to Pointerra's worldwide, cloud-based LiDAR data from within Global Mapper.

"The Global Mapper LiDAR Module continues to receive rave reviews from our customers," stated Patrick Cunningham, Blue Marble President. "Not only does it provide all the tools one needs for terrain generation, automatic and manual classification, and feature extraction, but it is affordable and easy to learn. We are excited to announce the Pointerra extension and look forward to this new partnership."

During ILMF, Kris Berglund from Blue Marble will be delivering a presentation on the theme of extracting 3D features from publicly available LiDAR data. Mr. Berglund's talk will begin at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, February 14.
