19 August 2016 – High resolution aerial images are giving viewers of Channel 4’s new home design programme ‘Inside out Homes’ a bird’s eye view of the properties being transformed. Hosted by Zak Monro, an award winning architect and television presenter, Inside Out Homes is a six part series produced by Red House TV for Channel 4. The series explores how the traditional home is changing as house and garden merge, with home owners embracing state of the art designs that push architectural comfort zones to the limit. The Bluesky aerial photomaps are used to provide context for the renovation design and illustrate the property within its true world setting.

Caroline Smith, Production Manager at Red House TV – the company behind Inside Out Homes, commented, “The Bluesky vertical aerial photographs provide a true context for each of the properties featured in this series. This allows the viewer to visualise the property in its real world location and understand how elements of the design will integrate within the local environment.”

Inside Out Homes, currently showing on Channel 4, with already broadcast episodes available on the Channel 4 online Catch Up service, answers the needs of home owners with radical designs that demonstrate how the home is changing as house and gardens blur. The series features exciting designs, including a revolving trellis complete with TV, a fire pit table and log fuelled hot tub. Properties renovated to date include a 1950s bungalow, a 70s ex-council house and a converted barn. In each episode the Bluesky aerial photographs feature in the opening few minutes, as narrator Helen Baxendale introduces the homeowners and explores what they are hoping to achieve with the transformation project.

The imagery used by Red House forms part of Bluesky’s nationwide coverage of high resolution, map accurate aerial photographs. Updated on a three year rolling cycle, Bluesky images are available to view and purchase online atwww.blueskymapshop.com.

“After some research we deduced that Bluesky was able to offer the widest coverage of high resolution images, as the properties featured in the first series are located across the country from Devon to Newcastle and London to Manchester. Bluesky also came back as the best price.” continued Smith. “The team at Bluesky were helpful and knowledgeable and we would happily work with them again on future projects.”
