Business Objects (Nasdaq: BOBJ) (Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 - BOB), the world’s leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, and Accruent, Inc., the leading provider of Real Estate Performance Management (RPM) solutions, today announced that they have extended their relationship to deliver the most advanced solution to companies looking to close the gap between corporate strategy and real estate operations. By embedding the Business Objects business intelligence platform into the Accruent RPM software, organizations will, for the first time, be able to deploy solid business intelligence across the entire real estate lifecycle — from acquiring and developing properties to managing locations and facilities.

BusinessObjects™ XI, Business Objects’ market-leading BI platform, has transformed the way businesses access and use information by delivering real-time business intelligence via reports, dynamic queries, and other analytic tools. Standardizing on a single platform improves confidence in the information’s reliability and creates an easy-to-use toolset for system users. Under the terms of the agreement, BusinessObjects Enterprise XI will be embedded in the Accruent 7 RPM solution, the next-generation enterprise application suite for real estate-intensive businesses.

“Accruent has been a Business Objects OEM Partner for many years, and this expanded agreement will deepen our relationship and help to dramatically improve our ability to provide actionable, executive-level business intelligence from a set of very complex data points,” said Wyatt Mullin, vice president of global ISV channel at Business Objects. “Today, we are taking that relationship to the next level by embedding our BI platform into Accruent’s highly advanced solution. This will better position Accruent customers to understand real estate portfolio cost drivers, make informed decisions and analyze business performance in real time.”

“Our challenge is to provide a great workplace for our employees while identifying operational efficiencies wherever possible,” said Andrew Moore, vice president of corporate operations and real estate at Mellon Financial. “Given the scale of our operations and the myriad of transactions we process, it’s all too easy to miss opportunities for business performance improvement. The solution provided by Accruent and Business Objects will give us business intelligence across the real estate lifecycle so we can find those everyday opportunities and distill strategic insight for C-level decision making.”

Accruent 7 applies information technology to decisions and processes around acquiring and managing real estate, one of the largest capital investments and operating expenses for many companies. By engaging C-level executives in maximizing return on real estate, Accruent 7 connects the high-level business strategy of a company all the way down through operational and tactical execution in the field level.

“Business Objects and Accruent share a commitment to helping companies eliminate the largest remaining ‘enterprise blind spot’ – real estate spending,” said Mark Friedman, CEO of Accruent. “By delivering world-class business intelligence from Business Objects within the Accruent 7 solution, executives are better positioned to understand and manage the key drivers of RPM – revenue growth, cost reduction and compliance – which can dramatically impact both a company’s top and bottom line.”
